The Energy Regulatory Office in Kosovo in the latest report on the change of electricity tariffs says that there is no need for price increases for consumers who spend up to 600 kWh of electricity per month.
“The subsidy provided by the Government of Kosovo effectively affects that consumer tariffs as a business do not increase and bills for household customers do not increase for consumption that can be provided with the existing tariff from local capacities in Kosovo up to 600 kWh for
months “, the report says.
In the report, ERO proposes that the tariff for consumers with 800 kwh of electricity consumed per month be increased to 12.31 euros.
Whereas, consumers who spend 1,000 kwh of electricity per month pay 24.62 euros more than the price of electricity.
If the Government does not allocate subsidies, ERO says it considers it necessary to increase the price of electricity for other categories.
In this case, ERO proposes that electricity tariffs be changed so that business customers pay 9 percent more.
