Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its representative, the President of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija is participating as an observer in the “Open Balkans” summit.
Tegeltija, in his speech from Ohrid, expressed support for the initiative, but said that there are several reasons that prevent the country from becoming part of the initiative.
“There is influence from the embassy and others who think that Bosnia and Herzegovina should not be part of the Open Balkans.”
However, says Tegeltija, most citizens and most businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina love the “Open Balkans”.
“There are many who wonder what I do here. I know that the community of Bosnia and Herzegovina supports it, the business community is the basic precondition of our society, I know that the largest number of citizens support it. We are ready to sign an agreement when a political decision is adopted.
I am confident that the Open Balkans can initiate the overall potential of this region. As soon as we become members of the initiative, especially after the support shown by Escobar”.
Together, adds the chairman of the Council of Ministers in Bosnia, we can solve problems that we can not solve alone.
“Nobody talks in Bosnia about solving many problems, about raising prices. “For the first time last night I heard that together we must find a solution.”
Representatives of Bosnia and Montenegro are today in the role of observer, while the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti has rejected the invitation of the Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski to participate in the “Open Balkans” initiative.
