Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a telephone conversation yesterday with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, asked him for a ceasefire and good conditions for civilians after the invasion of Ukraine.
Erdogan stressed to his counterpart the importance of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, the start of peace and the establishment of good humanitarian conditions throughout the region. He further stated that Turkey will provide any kind of support regarding the process.
The presidential office also announced on Twitter that Putin and Erdogan had agreed to hold the next round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul.
