The Spike S-512 Supersonic Business Jet, conceived by Boston-based company Spike Aerospace, will launch test flights in 2022. Its production will cost $ 100 million, said CEO Vik Kachoria.
The plane will reach a speed of about 1170 km / h, with a capacity of 12 to 18 passengers, who will find themselves practically in a luxury hotel in the sky. Kachoria told the Daily Mail that the plane will not have traditional windows, but “high definition” screens where, in addition to the magical panorama that nature offers, videos and presentations can be displayed directly from the laptop.

The company is also working on a private jet, which will be able to travel from London to New York, even faster, in just 90 minutes. But this version is not expected to take off before 2035.
Two other companies are working on building a supersonic aircraft, Boom Supersonic and Aerion. The Concorde was the last supersonic aircraft to fly for 27 years from 1976. It traveled at a speed of 2180 km / h and carried up to 128 passengers
