The director of the Reçi prison in Shkodra, Ervis Zika, has been arrested by the Prisons Internal Control Service after being accused of abuse of office and theft.
Ervis Zika was handcuffed by order of the Shkodra Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Justice confirmed last night.
The Shkodra court has imposed “arrest in prison” and “Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service”.
Sources close to the Shkodra prosecutor’s office suggest that Zika has allowed the entry of items without control inside the prison premises.
