The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku has given details this Wednesday after the meeting of ministers, for the electricity that will be given to Kosovo for the two days of the holidays.
Asked by the journalist if the energy that is being given to Kosovo is from reserves or has been bought by the Albanian state and how many days it will last, she stressed that it is from the reserves of the Albanian state and that there will be only two days of assistance to Kosovo.
“We are referring to these two dates. We are facing a crisis, we will remove from our reserves to give to Kosovo, from 7 am to midnight on January 1st. There will be no financial exchange with him, we do not expect Kosovo to pay money for the Republic of Albania, but this amount of energy will be returned to us in a moment so that they have the opportunity“, Said Balluku.
Regarding the data publication scandal, she mentioned that e-albania, one of the platforms with personal data of Albanians, will not be managed by private companies.
“If the news that is circulating is false, there is no such plan, some of their personal data have turned into a game on the phone of many people. There is no such plan, Rama has indicated that in January we sought the support of a foreign company, ‘General Jones Group’, which has a presence in Albania, in agreement with OST. In the first days of January, its representatives will be in Albania to launch an in-depth analysis “, said Balluku.
From the current crisis, our country will provide 7680 MWh of electricity to Kosovo without financial effect. Energy will be from 7:00 on December 31 to 24:00 on January 1.
Kosovo has been facing an energy crisis for days, leaving citizens and businesses in distress without electricity for hours.
