The IPSOS survey for Top Channel was conducted in the period from 10 to 16 February 2021 and 1,527 voters were interviewed in 12 districts of the country.

To the main question whether the elections would be held on April 25, which of the parties they would vote for, 49.5 percent of respondents say they will vote for the socialist party led by Edi Rama, which is running alone in this election. As for the largest opposition party, the Democratic Party led by Lulzim Basha, 39.3 percent of respondents would vote.

In third place is the SMI led by Monika Kryemadhi with 5.1 percent of the vote. The poll was conducted before the opposition coalition was announced. While in the poll the fourth party comes out Nisma Thurje with 1.7 and in fifth place the Democratic Movement with 1.4 percent. Other parties do not exceed the figure of one percent of the votes starting with PSD with 0.8 and so on.

The poll also asked who voters thought would win the April 25 vote. According to this question, 44 percent of respondents think that the Socialist party will win the elections. 24 percent think that the Democratic Party will win the elections and 2 percent think that the Socialist movement for integration will win. But there is a high number of people who do not know who wins that goes to 24 percent.

39% of Albanians want the country to be run by Edi Rama

One of the questions that show the tendency of Albanian voters is the one that asks respondents to indicate which politician they want to lead. Even at this point, Prime Minister Edi Rama is at an advantage receiving the support of 39 percent of voters. Opposition leader Lulzim Basha received 29 percent of the vote. The number of people who do not know who will vote is about 22 percent and 9 percent refuse to answer this question.

What are the three biggest problems of Albanians

Respondents think that the main problems the country is facing are the economy, and employment by 41 and 36 percent respectively. While pandemic and health have 22 percent.

Economic issues are the main factor pushing 40 percent of respondents to decide on their vote. 35 percent have unemployment as the main while 36 percent have health. Corruption and education account for between 30 and 20 percent.

But who manages the Albanian economy better? Even at this point, Prime Minister Edi Rama is at an advantage over Lulzim Basha. The prime minister has 35 percent of respondents, while the opposition leader has 27 percent. Meanwhile, 4 percent think that Monika Kryemadhi would manage the economy better. The figure of those who disagree with any of the above names is 26 percent, while 8 percent have given other options.

Who is managing unemployment better

The other important issue related to the economy was unemployment, at this point, 32 percent think that Edi Rama manages better and 23 percent think that Lulzim Basha is better. While the number of those who think that no one is prepared to deal with unemployment goes to 32 percent.

Who is managing education better

Even in addressing the issue of education, Prime Minister Rama is at an advantage, 34 percent think he is better prepared to manage education, while 18 percent vote for Lulzim Basha and 5 percent for Monika Kryemadhi. But the majority, 38 percent, think none of the politicians are prepared to manage education.

Asked which party is better prepared to manage health, 35 percent say they are in favor of the Socialist Party, 24 percent in favor of the Democratic Party, 3 percent in favor of the SMI, and 32 percent still do not believe in any of the major political forces on health.

Who is managing corruption better

In the issue of tackling corruption in Albania, Lulzim Basha and the DP have an advantage over the Socialists. Respectively 27 percent of respondents are in favor of PD and 25 percent in favor of the socialist party, 2 percent for LSi, but 38 percent, so most do not trust any of the main parties when it comes to corruption.

The survey also has some questions that show the opinion of respondents on how big issues are being handled, while the general question of how things were going in Albania, the majority with 47 percent say they are going in the wrong direction and 38 percent in the right direction.

The survey also asked respondents for their opinion on the government’s work in managing the crisis caused by the earthquake. The figures of those who fully support it are 23 percent while those who do not support it at all are 29 percent. While 53 percent say they support it.

16 percent of voters think that big problems are being faced very well, while 23 percent think very badly. While 56 percent think well.

How the pandemic was managed by the SP

There are similar figures for the pandemic, of which 18 percent think very well and 24 percent think very badly, while 56 percent think well.

Evaluate the work of the opposition in addressing the major problems facing Albania

An interesting question that tells a lot about the opinion of voters is their assessment of the work of the opposition in addressing the major problems facing Albania. 33 percent have very bad thoughts, and only 7 percent think very well. Negative thinking prevails in 53 percent of respondents.
