Discovered 15 years ago and covered again 15 years ago. This is the condition of the Basilica of Bezistan in the center of the city of Elbasan which has already been turned into a pit.
No one has done anything in a decade and a half to make it accessible to tourists or the citizens of Elbasan.
Beneath what you see hides a 5th century basilica composed of many architectural elements where it is worth noting the mosaic and frescoes.
Described as one of the most important discoveries, the Basilica was immediately declared a Cultural Monument of the first category. It is about 2007. Today the situation is completely different.
With the discoveries so far, there is a 25-meter mosaic in which, in addition to two human figures, there are other elements in its composition that show the scheme of eternity and are realized with a rare mastery. The Cultural Monument continues to be buried as tourists and citizens themselves, through some photos try to imagine what underground.
