The Albanian national team will play a friendly with Estonia. The Albanian Football Federation has reached an agreement with the Estonian Federation for this match to be played on June 13, 2022 at the “Air Albania” stadium in Tirana, starting at 18:00.
On this date, it was previously planned for Albania to play against Russia in League B of the Nations League, but after UEFA’s decision to suspend Russia, the AFF decided to use this official date to organize a friendly.
Also in June, Albania will play on June 6 with Iceland in transfer and on June 19 with Israel at home, both valid challenges for the Nation League.
This will be the fourth time that Albania and Estonia will face in a football match. In the past the two representatives have met three times with each other, in all three cases for friendly matches.
The first Albania-Estonia challenge was played on November 15, 2003 in Tirana and was won by the red and blacks with the result 2-0. Goals were scored by Adrian Aliaj and Alban Bushi.
The second confrontation is that of April 28 played in Tallinn, Estonia and ended in a 1-1 draw. The goal for Albania was scored by Adrian Aliaj. While the third Estonia-Albania challenge took place on November 14, 2009 and ended in a 0-0 draw. This friendly was also played in Tallinn.
