The private kindergarten “Wings of Knowledge” in Fier, where a child lost his life in unclear circumstances has been closed by order of the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The Ministry of Education and Sports, based on the tragic case of Fier, requested from the General Directorate of Pre-University Education (DPAP) the establishment of a working group to inspect the preschool educational institution, kindergarten “Wings of Knowledge”.
According to the report of the working group, the following violations were found:
1- There is no Didactic leader.
2- Has registered children under the age of 3, in violation of the law.
3- The teaching staff does not meet the criteria provided in law 69/2012 article 57.
4- Does not meet infrastructure standards.
5- Has registered and accepted children above the allowed number.
6- Has not fulfilled the obligations related to the necessary documentation, including contracts with parents.
Meanwhile, the court of Fier has left the educator Redina Binjaku in prison. She is suspected of the criminal offense of violating the rules at work.
The gruesome event was marked on January 7, around 1 p.m. The 3-year-old passed away in class. The child went to the hospital in Fier without life, while marks were found on his neck. Relatives of the minor are seeking justice as they do not believe he was accidentally strangled.
