The West did not really send troops to fight in Ukraine, but in addition to providing financial assistance, it also supplied the country with advanced weapons and military equipment.
Three are the most powerful missile systems in the hands of Ukrainians today, destroying everything from tanks to Russian helicopters. By the time the war entered its 20th day, the Ukrainian military had massively used Javelin anti-tank missiles, the latest word in American technology. These intelligent missiles do not hit tanks and armored vehicles directly: from the launch pad, they rise once in the air then fall on the target in its most exposed part, a trap from which it is difficult to escape.
In addition to the American Javelin system, the NLAW anti-tank tank, originally created by a joint Swedish-British project to replace Cold War weapons, is being widely used in Ukraine. It flies over the tank or armored vehicle and explodes the moment it hits it, destroying it. So far, it has proved quite effective against Russian equipment.
Very successful on the battlefield seems to be the mobile anti-aircraft system Stinger, which is lightweight and can be held in the arms by soldiers. Its missiles pursue the target themselves as they have the ability to track engine heat.
