High temperatures like never before in Great Britain, have caused a lot of chaos in most of the country’s cities.
High temperatures led to the closure of Luton Airport’s runway due to melting of its surface as Wales recorded its hottest day on record with England to be followed later by bushfires.
The extreme heat has caused the cancellation of trains and the closing of schools
Flights were diverted from the airport, while engineers were immediately called to the site and repair work is underway to resume work as soon as possible.
The Met Office confirmed that Hayarden in Flintshire had reached 37.1C (98.8F) this afternoon, beating Wales’ all-time high of 35.2C (95.4F) at the same location on August 2, 1990.
