Police in Kentucky, USA have arrested a 23-year-old man who is accused of breaking into the house of a former American congressman, shooting his daughter to death in bed and then threatening her with the rifle he owned.
Officers in Madison said they arrested Shannon Gilday yesterday morning, about 3km from the home of former Congressman Wesley Morgan in the Willis Branch area.
He is accused of entering their home armed at 4am on February 22nd.
The man had shot dead 32-year-old lawyer Jordan Morgan in her bed, according to Kentucky police.

Former Congressman Wesley Morgan opened fire on the attacker and was shot by him, suffering “non-life-threatening injuries,” authorities said. The attacker then left in a white car.
