The Mayor of Prishtina, Përparim Rama has blamed the Government of Kosovo for moving the “Sunny Hill” festival from Prishtina to Tirana.
“The reason why this festival is relocated to Tirana is entirely due to the procrastination of the Government, which despite the fact that the whole process of granting the use of municipal property has been done in full compliance with the law. Central institutions have continuously interfered in the competencies of the Municipal Assembly and in the competencies of the mayor“, Declared Rama.
Rama has invited the Government to take the necessary actions and according to him to confirm the legality of the decision of the Municipal Assembly of Prishtina, while there was a comment on the 17-hectare property, which would be given to “The Sunny Hill” for 99 years, in Bërnica i Poshtme.
“I did not bring the 99, I found it here because the previous government decided that this land should be given for use for 99 years. There were three points that were asked to be made legal. Rama said that he has full confidence that the “Sunny Hill” festival from next year and beyond will be in Pristina.
