A recently photographed lion has given another meaning to the “catwalk” of the wild world, as its majestic lizard fluttered in the wind in the snow-white panorama.
The photogenic feline, named Tom, posed with his long ‘hair’ between the pine branches.
The five-year-old then strokes the tree trunks as he catches some sunlight in its jungle, which in this case was the Na Hrádečku Zoo in the Czech Republic.
The gorgeous images were taken by amateur photographer Robert Grim, from Prague.
He said the creature, which has been rescued from illegal custody, could now roam peacefully in the vast space of the zoo and even looked like it had just emerged from a hair salon.
Grimm said: “The lion’s name is Tom and it looks like he just came out of the beauty salon.”
“Tom and his brother Leo have been rescued from a harmful illegal environment, but now they have all the necessary space in this park and they are doing very well.”
The pair of lions are also popular on social media. In 2020 on World Lions Day on August 10, Zoopark Na Hrádečku awarded Tom and Leo with toys that had meat hidden in them.
On their website Zoopark Na Hrádečku says that it participates in cooperation projects with other zoos in Europe.
