Today, a memorandum of cooperation was signed for the Underground Natural Gas Storage Project in the Dumre area.
This memorandum brings the cooperation between Albgaz and SNAM for the development of underground natural gas deposits, thus contributing to the increase of energy security of our country, but also to a wider regional plan.
Minister Belinda Balluku and SNAM representative Alessandra Pasini have signed this memorandum of cooperation.
“Dumreja has been selected for the development of the storage project, due to the salt formations, which offer large storage capacities, which exceed the national demand and offer the possibility of creating an integrated trans-Balkan gas system. We have currently started work on the study of Dumre underground deposits“, Says the minister.
Balluku considers this project, not only of national importance, but also regional, as it will facilitate the gasification of neighboring countries.
