The new Museum of the Future in Dubai when it finally opened in February 2022 and was one of the city’s favorite buildings.
For six years, residents and visitors have watched with curiosity every step of the construction of this stunning building located on Dubai’s main highway, Sheikh Zayed Road.
The geometric skeleton really started to take shape when calligraphy-covered metal plates were added.
Since the building was under construction no one really understood what the outcome of the whole investment would be in the end.
Following the opening, the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, declared the 77-meter stainless steel tower the “most beautiful building in the world” and was named an icon.
Dubai is one of the places which in recent years is amazed by the unique architecture of the buildings.
The partner of this project, Shaun Killa explains the symbolism which is related to life, starting from the green mound that represents the Earth, on which is placed the Museum of the Future and the main building that symbolizes humanity. The emptiness at the center represents what we do not yet know about the future, in other words, the unknown.
This is a typical mysterious building, hence the name Museum of the Future.
“People who search for the unknown are people who invent and discover things. These people will constantly refill the museum over time, so there is a permanent continuity due to the unknown. “That’s why the gap is there, you have our sense of the future and then you have something that is not there.” tha Killa.
According to CNN, building the Museum of the Future has not been easy, as it took four and a half months to figure out how to maintain the shape of the building, finding quality materials and working tirelessly with experts.
