The Municipality of Tirana officially opens the beginning of the activities of 2022 where Tirana has been declared the European Capital of Youth.
In a special ceremony with hundreds of young people who will be part of the events of “Tirana European Youth Capital 2022” was unveiled the program and innovations that will bring to Tirana this title which is given exactly in a year announced by the EC as the year of Youth!
The Executive Director of the National Youth Congress, Dafina Peci, at the opening of this event stressed that there has been a boom of applications from young people for activities during this year. “We received 1100 applications from young people from all over the country. All will turn into a colorful calendar of activities and opportunities, “said Peci.
While Aspasjana Kongo, General Coordinator of TEYC 2022, said that this title for Tirana has broken 3 records. “Tirana has received the title of European Capital of Youth since its application. “The second record is because for the first time this title is given to a capital and thirdly, this program has an extension throughout the territory of the country,” said Congo.
