The arrested person is HJ, 44 years old, resident in Vlora, who tried to leave with a “Ford” type vehicle together with a Kalashnikov type firearm.

According to the police, around 14:20, in the neighborhood “Bashkimi” of Vlora, in cooperation with another person, who was declared wanted, shot with a firearm in the direction of the 31-year-old citizen, who as a result of injuries taken has passed away.

Sources for Top Channel suggest that the victim is the son of a former police officer with a previous criminal record. The perpetrator got out of a car with black windows and shot at the 31-year-old who lost his life.

The person who died had a pistol with him, residents say. The victim was lying on the road for more than 5 minutes and was taken by ambulance while he died on the way to the hospital as he could not survive the injuries received.

This citizen, today, around 14:20, in the neighborhood “Bashkimi”, Vlora, in cooperation with another citizen, who has been declared wanted, shot with a firearm in the direction of the citizen T. GJ., 31 years old, who as a result of the wounds received has passed away. The investigative group is at the scene and under the direction of the Prosecution continues the work to fully clarify the circumstances of the event, identify and apprehend the other perpetrator.
