After three months with “Foltoren”, around 11:20 in the presence of 4,920 delegates of the National Assembly gathered by Sali Berisha in “Air Albania” has officially begun work.
“Nothing prevents boys and girls, men and women of freedom, from joining today in the re-establishment of the Democratic Party and the pluralism of Albanian democracy.”
This was the statement of the former Prime Minister and historical leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, just left for the premises of the “Air Albania” stadium where the National Assembly convened by him is being held.
Berisha called this day one of the greatest events in the history of a nation’s freedom.
“This marks the triumph of a peaceful revolution in the most dramatic moments of the country,” said Berisha.
He called this event the message, “the most beautiful, the biggest, the most powerful, that they send today to Albanians everywhere, as well as to our conservative friends in Europe.”
He closed by stating that the current leader Lulzim Basha is invited to participate in this “extraordinary” day of the Democrats.
Beside Berisha are seen from the ranks of PD Albana Vokshi, Belind Këlliçi, Flamur Noka, Oerd Bylykbashi, Tritan Shehu, former president Bujar Nishani and thousands of delegates and supporters of Berisha.
So far the historic leader has reached the quorum of delegates for statutory changes within the blue headquarters.
The first delegates and supporters of Sali Berisha have arrived at the Assembly convened by the DP membership, in the early hours of the morning.
