As a sign of protest, against the new judicial map that reduces the number of courts in the country, lawyers gathered today in front of the Supreme Judicial Council. The protest was called by the National Bar Association.

Speaking to the media, the head of the National Chamber of Advocacy, Maksim Haxhia, said that they will turn to the Constitutional Court as the last step to oppose the new judicial map.
“We presented arguments so that justice is feasible and citizens have access to the justice system. We have proposed variants that are feasible. We will send it to the Constitutional Court, that is the last step, we are lawyers.
We have a legal framework that consists of the law for lawyers and I assure you that every step taken is in accordance with the legislation. We are waiting for a final reaction from the Supreme Judicial Council, then the next path is a technical one that we own in full. The General Council will be convened to give a final opinion on the progress of this position held by the Chamber of Advocacy. “- said Haxhia.
