This week, pop diva Jennifer Lopez shared with fans on her page, ‘On the JLo’, the importance of sleeping more than seven hours. When she was in her twenties, in the 90s and her career was on the rise, overwork and poor sleep endangered her health. She discovered how optimal rest changed her life and that even just a good night’s sleep could make her look a decade younger.
The 52-year-old singer emphasized that she sleeps 7-9 hours every night, but that was not the case in the 90.. She has expressed that when she was in her 20s, she felt invincible.
There was a moment in my life when I slept 3-5 hours a night. I was filming all day and in the studio all night and filming on the weekends.
But J.Lo had to make changes and adjust her routine after a major ‘panic attack’ paralyzed her.
I was sitting in a van and all the work and stress it brought with it, along with insufficient sleep to mentally recover, caught me. I went from feeling completely normal, to thinking about what I had to do that day, and all of a sudden I felt like I couldn’t move.
J.Lo discovered that she was completely frozen and was horrified because she did not know what was going on with her body. Immediately, the bodyguard took him to a doctor, where he asked if he was going crazy. Her physical symptoms frightened her and filled her with fear.
I now know it was a classic panic attack caused by fatigue, but I had never even heard that term at the time.
The doctor gave some advice and this experience changed J.Lo’s life. He told her he needed 7-9 hours of sleep, avoid caffeine drinking and exercise. She realized how serious the consequences could be if she ignored what her body and mind needed to be healthy. Jennifer points out that it was at this point that her journey to well-being began.
Lopez recently posted on Instagram a short trailer for her upcoming Netflix documentary, “Halftime.” The film, whose title is a sign of her entry into the 50s and her appearance in the “Super Bowl” with Shakira, promises to explore the life of the artist inside and outside the stage./ TopAlbaniaRadio
