A giant bull that escaped from a farm in the US and caused ‘terror’ in several cities it passed through has finally been brought under control after it was captured on a rope by what were described as “real cowboys” by the US police.
The bull escaped from Smith Farm in Massachusetts, crossed several towns until it reached New Hampshire, authorities said in pursuit of him.
Capt. Brian Kelly said he was spotted in a wooded area where it was very difficult to catch, according to Boston.com: “It was difficult to track him down and even more so to capture him. We called the owners and they suggested a ‘cowboy’ service from New York who came to help.”
And in fact the boys with horses came from Pelham and after three days of searching they finally got the wayward bull under control on July 13th.
Kelly added, “I’ve been on the job 15 years and I’ve never seen anything like this, I’ve never seen cowboys with nooses riding down Route 38.”
“As far as we know, the bull is back home, safe and sound.”
“Besides giving thanks for eliminating the danger, the boys also maintained the image of cowboys as they chased the bull, swinging the rope loops, until they stopped it in the traditional way,” the authorities wrote.
