The Basic Prosecution of Prishtina has requested detention on remand for Dardan Molliqaj and Adem Megjuan, suspected of the criminal offense “attack on an official person”.
The news for the Telegraph was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, Laureta Ulaj.
“The Prosecution has submitted a request for detention on remand against the two detainees, in relation to the criminal offense” Attack on an official person, “she said.
The chairman of the Social Democratic Party, Dardan Molliqaj, was arrested on Tuesday by the Kosovo Police, while he was going to a TV show.
Molliqaj was stopped by some members of the police, who put him in the car.

Molliqaj had said about the incident that the responsibility falls on him, because he was offended by police officers.
In addition to Molliqaj, another PSD activist, Adem Megjuani, was arrested today after attacking police during a protest.
Megjuan was detained for 48 hours, while the PSD through a reaction on Tuesday demanded his immediate release.
