Britain’s Attorney General Suella Braverman failed to get enough votes to advance to the next round in the race for the leadership of the Conservative Party, while former finance minister Rishi Sunak came out on top again in the final round to decide the next prime minister of Britain.

Rishi Sunak, the frontrunner in the race, said he was extremely grateful for the support of Tory MPs.
“I am extremely grateful for the continued support from my colleagues and the wider public. I am prepared to give everything I have in the service of our nation. Together we can restore trust, rebuild our economy and reunite the country.”he said.
Looking at the results, the focus is now expected to shift to a series of televised debates scheduled over the weekend, where the candidates will face off head-to-head for the first time. Boris Johnson’s successor is expected to be chosen on September 5.
