Harold Dean Clouse and teen Tina Gail have finally been identified decades after their disappearance in Texas, USA – yes the family is still searching for their baby Hollie, from whom there is no trace.
The young couple were murdered 40 years ago but the investigation of their old case remains partially open by searching for the remains of their little daughter.
Harold Dean Clouse, 21, had left Florida and moved to Texas for a new life with his wife Tina Gail, 17, and their baby Hollie Marie in 1979.
He had assured his mother that he would take care of the family while working as a carpenter in Houston.
“I will take care of Tina and the baby,” his mother Donna Casasanta was quoted as saying before leaving.
But the newlyweds were tragically hanged after arriving in the city in the late 1980s.
They were found dead together in an area of Houston, Texas when a sniffing dog led researchers to their remains on January 12, 1981.
Clouse was found beaten and tied up while his wife was found strangled to death, writes the network LadBible.
Although their bodies were discovered several decades ago, they have been officially identified in late 2021.
Clouse’s sister, Debbie Brooks, said she was contacted by a genealogist when her brother’s DNA was included in the GEDmatch.com network files.
The mother of the murdered man Donna Casasanta had received a phone call from someone offering to drive her to him for $ 1,000, months after her son had stopped writing.
The woman had accepted but then three women in religious clothes came to the car with her, according to the testimony.
The mother says the mysterious group told her the couple had joined them but now wanted to separate.
Donna thought the story might be true as her son had previously been involved in a religious cult.
Casasanta’s mother says she feels relieved to know what happened to her son but still wonders about the late Hollie’s daughter.
“We hope to find it one day,” she says.
