Citizen Fabio Sheshi complains that on January 8, 2022 he was fined with 1 million ALL and revocation of the traffic license by the Traffic Police, because the color of his vehicle results in the white traffic police system, while the vehicle is currently in two colors: white and black.
Fabio bought a gray car and did all the paperwork to DPSHTRR, via e-albania, for the color change. He received the approval from the Road Transport in Berat on October 27, 2021, meanwhile this regional directorate mistakenly marked him in the traffic license only in white. Fabio shows that he was interested in the Traffic Police in Tirana where they explained that it is the fault of the DPSHTRR Berat that they did not properly reflect it in the traffic permit.
The citizen addresses the Tirana Road Commissariat, where he explains that the problem lies with the DPSHTRR who have not updated the systems with all the changes in the new road traffic permit.
After the interest of Fiks Fare, the General Directorate of Road Transport reacted, where Mr. Astrit Nasufi, director of the Directorate of Vehicle Registration (DRM) explained to us that the mistake was made by not coordinating the two systems and the information was transmitted incorrectly. According to them, as soon as they were informed, they contacted the traffic police, filling in this gap and with mutual understanding for the revocation of this fine. DPSHTRR will be following up on this case in order to obtain the necessary confirmation. Asked if this fine could be legally revoked, Mr. Nasufi replied that it is within the time limit of 10 days.
The complainant Fabio Shehi then thanked Fiks Fare for solving the problem, because otherwise he would have paid the fine of 1 million ALL. He states that the fine was removed and his license was returned.
