50 thousand spectators braved the high temperatures that have invaded France these days to listen to the legendary group Rolling Stones.
In front of an audience of all generations, the Stones brought their international hits to Lyon, from ‘Angie’ to ‘Satisfaction’, as fans knew every lyric by heart.
Under the blazing sun of July 19 in the packed stadium, this was named the concert of the year in the French city.
“Rolling Stones? It’s all life, a whole generation, even several generations, since the 60s. We won’t find a band like that again,” says a fan.
“‘Sex rock and rock and roll’, they are, they are real! This is the real rock”, says another.
With 60 years of experience electrifying stages around the world, the legendary Rolling Stones are holding the European tour entitled “Sixty”. Age doesn’t change anything! Keith Richard, Mick Jagger and the rest of the band, who are approaching their 80s, light up the stadium as they celebrate six decades of career.
The Rolling Stones returned to Lyon fifteen years after their last concert in Lyon at the Stade Gerland. But if you then perform in front of 2,500 fans, on Tuesday they gave emotions to 50,000 people, from the 70,000 seats that the stadium had.
The European tour that started in June in Madrid, Spain, will end on August 3 in Berlin after 14 concerts in ten countries.
