The European tour of the “Rolling Stones”, who are celebrating the 60th anniversary of their creation, recently started at the “Metropolitano” stadium in Madrid.
The two-and-a-half-hour performance electrified the 45,000-strong crowd. “The Rolling Stones have confirmed their legendary status with an extraordinary triumph in Madrid,” said Spanish television broadcaster RTVE.
The newspaper “El Pais” called the “Rolling Stones” eternal while “El Mundo” called their performance a miracle. The concert started with an exciting video reminiscent of the band drummer Charlie Wattswho passed away in August last year.
Lead singer Mick Jagger told the audience that this was their first tour without Watts and that he and the band missed him a lot. The next stop of the tournament is the “Olympia” stadium in Munich. Amsterdam, Milan, Brussels and Paris are among the other stops, before the tour ends on July 31, in Stockholm.
Recall that celebrities, including the leader of the Rolling Stones band, Mick Jagger, expressed anger about a year ago about the mooring of cruise ships in the lagoon of Venice, in an open letter to the government. The document stated that:
Stop the traffic of large boats in the lagoon.
Well-known artists, from Jagger to German director Wim Wenders and Scottish actress Tilda Swinton, complained of “absolute lack of respect for one of the most important world heritage sites” and called for a law to protect the cultural identity of Venice./ Top Albania Radio
