Under the motto “Bread and salt and white blood”, with Albanian folk songs and dances, the second edition of the “Prishtina Gastronomy Festival” festival, which will last until July 31, raised the curtain.
The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, important personalities from the two countries as well as many artists were also present.
Mayor Veliaj emphasized that what unites us is many times more important than what divides us.
“The things that unite us are many times more important and stronger than the things that divide us. Good politics is not politics that divides people, here and there, it is politics that unites people”underlined Veliaj.
He added that today the Albanian nation is living the best days it has ever had.
“We have today as a nation the best days we could ever have. I know that not everything is perfect, not everything works as it should, but we are in the best days of our history. Kosovo is independent, Kosovo is free, today Kosovo is the Capital of Culture with the Manifesto. I am privileged that today it is Tirana that opens this fantastic Festival of Gastronomy. This is an activity to fill our heart, soul”declared Veliaj
“Prishtina Gastronomy Festival” brings together cities and cultures from the entire region, where the variety of foods, recipes, songs and dances aim to provide entertainment for different generations.
The first night of the festival was lit up to the sounds of the songs of Merita Halili and Raif Hysen, while during the following days, various groups and singers from Tirana, Vlora, Struga and other cities will perform at this festival.
Likewise, well-known names of gastronomy, chefs with international experience will cook different and unique flavors of food every day.
