The agreement between Enkelejd Alibeaj and the socialist negotiators on proposing presidential candidacies by the opposition in rounds two and three has broken down.
The chairman of the Democratic parliamentary group accuses the Socialists of violating the agreement by not implementing what is written in the six-point document for which the Socialists gave “OK” on Wednesday.
“There was a withdrawal in the media by the SP, so the process would be like this, we would identify four candidacies. The last step would also provide the guarantee for this process. I repeat that candidacy that would be identified as consensual would be not only a guarantee, but a strong sign that there would be no games or avoidances, but the SP claims that this candidacy should have only our signatures. So this is a pull and we have known that the SP has no real legitimacy“, Says Alibeaj.
Alibeaj’s statements were contradicted by Taulant Balla.
“We still have time to negotiate. Let them bring Sunday if they wanted two more candidacies. There is no political logic to firmly support Alibeaj’s proposals”.
At a time when Alibeaj accuses the Socialists of breaking the agreement and Taulant Balla declares the opposite, to understand the truth let us follow with voice and image what Alibeaj asked for and what the Socialists agreed on.
Asked about Alibeaj’s performance at the roundtable discussion for the president on May 17 and 18, Taulant Balla gave the answer recalling the date that coincides with the announcement of Sali Berisha Non Grata by the US government.
“For me the date on the 19th is more important“, Said Balla.
