Hundreds of Ukrainian workers and residents have blocked access to a Ukrainian nuclear power plant near the southeastern city of Enerhodar as Russian forces advance into the area.
A large crowd blocked the road in front of the factory, holding the Ukrainian flag in their hands. To block Russian forces, they also had to use garbage trucks.
“The Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant is under secure protection. All utilities are working in a state of emergency. No one will hand over the city. People are determined“, Wrote the mayor of Enerhodar, Dmytro Orlov on Facebook.
Zaporizhzhya is the largest power plant in Europe, located in Energodar, in southeastern Ukraine.
