A 53-year-old man lost his life in the garage of his home after being suffocated by generator gas.
Andrea Grazhdani had returned from Greece 3 days ago and was working on his house in the village of Progër in Devoll to install the boilers as he was going to celebrate with his family for the end-of-year holidays.
Due to lack of power, he had turned on the generator and was asphyxiated overnight. It was his neighbor who called the police after he found the garage door closed in the morning while the works were going to continue.
For days in many villages of Korça district, bad weather has caused problems with electricity, while in the Devoll area some of them have more than 48 hours without supply.
