Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner plan to appeal their death sentences for fighting Russian forces in Ukraine.
This comes after Aslin’s family said he had been told his execution would take place, but a lawyer for Mr Pinner, Yulia Tserkovnikova, told the Russian news agency Tass that the decision would be appealed.
She said that if the appeal is rejected and the judgment enters into force, an apology will be made because it is the inalienable right of our clients based on the laws of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
