The deputy of the Socialist party, Lavdrim Krashi, in a different interview for the show “Top Talk”, did not shy away from the problems that, according to him, the left currently has in our country.
In the show, he draws a parallel between the political situation in Albania and that in Great Britain, where the deputy has lived for 27 years and is involved in active politics.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson resigned after his cabinet, embroiled in several scandals, asked him to hand over the post. Recalling several cases in our country, where former socialist deputies and former mayors are under investigation for corruption and other criminal offenses.
The former mayor of Vora, Agim Kajmaku, was arrested three weeks ago in Italy, after being caught with 20 kg of cannabis inside a truck with flower pots.
Asked by journalist Denis Dyrnjaja, if that would be enough in Great Britain to demand the dismissal of the prime minister, Krashi answers: “Absolutely that would be enough”.
If Rama is aware of criminal actions of the cabinet or the politicians of the party he leads, he should act, says the deputy.
Furthermore, he has a concrete advice for Edi Rama, as chairman of the Socialist Party.
“If Rama would have promoted or proposed people to represent the Socialist Party in various committees, knowing the accusations and that a certain person is under investigation or under investigation by the competent bodies
The people, the citizens, the voters, deserve responsible politicians, they deserve elected officials to be responsible and conscientious”.
Is the SP today what it should be in Krashi’s view?
“In the Albanian political reality, the Socialist Party is absolutely not perfect, it has many flaws and mistakes, but the SP remains the main political force. I would ask the Prime Minister for greater transparency on the political level. I would give him a piece of advice that I actually said, is that the relationship we need to create with the Albanian diaspora all over the world. This has no direct political connection, but I think that by involving more Albanians who are outside Albania, who are part of the diaspora, but are Albanian citizens, I believe that Albanian politics would be cleaned up and would be closer to the citizen.
If Albanian politics opens up more to the diaspora, if it gets the best experiences, whether political or administrative, I think that Albanian politics will be richer and stronger”.
