A nine-year-old girl from Ukraine cut her hair and sold it to raise money for her country’s armed forces, who are facing the Russian ones.
Kira Hubina, from the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, decided to raise money for the country’s fighters as she and her family are in a shelter to protect themselves from Russian bombing.
The girl’s father, Ivan, told the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN that he was touched by his daughter’s gesture and agreed to have her hair cut after learning of her intentions.
“Honestly, I almost cried. It touched me somehow”He said.
