A tourist has tragically fallen to his death from the 20 meter high rock of a famous waterfall in Thailand.
23-year-old Romanian Nane-Iosana Bodea, suffered a terrible fall on May 14 during the trip with her friends to the famous tourist spot.
The group were visiting the island Koh Samui and its famous Na Muang waterfall where they decided to take a bath.
Nane-Iosana, from Romania was admiring the look and decided to take some pictures.
But after climbing steep cliffs to pose for photos, she slipped tragically onto the moss-covered surface.
Her shocked companion Manuel Opancar, 22, from Austria, said the girl had climbed to the top of the cliffs, even though the terrain was “high and dangerous”.
The 23-year-old had fallen to her death from the highest point of the waterfall in front of terrified tourists.
Nane-Iosana’s desperate friends rushed to her for help and then called the pro emergency services without being able to save her.
Nane-Iosana, who lived in Austria, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency crews spent several hours lifting her body from the waterfall pond and further toward the highway.
Nane-Iosana’s body was transported to Koh Samui Hospital where the autopsy is being performed.
Death is a few in the rocky tourist spots of the country and precisely with the careless tourists looking for “impressive” photos.
30-year-old Frenchman Bastien Palmier, fell to his death from the rocks of Ko Samui in November 2019 while looking to take a picture.
Thai authorities regularly report high-altitude hazards and accidents that have occurred there over the years.
The pursuit of perfect photos is reported to have caused the deaths of more than 300 tourists in 2021 alone.
