Three people were killed during an assassination attempt on the Fushë Krujë-Thumanë road axis, at the Fushë Krujë overpass this Sunday.
Diklen Vata was initially identified, as he was able to get out of the car after the perpetrators fired with automatic volleys.
He is 30 years old from Laçi, previously arrested in 2017 for cocaine distribution in Tirana.
Later, the other two were identified, whose bodies were burned, after the car caught fire after the assassination due to high temperatures. They are Brilant Martinaj and Besmir Hoxha.
Brilant Martinaj is a suspect in the murder of policeman Xjulio Prela two years ago. Meanwhile, Diklen Vata is a person with a criminal record for drug trafficking.
The images of the first moments after the assassination in Fushë Krujë were provided by Top Channel, where Vata’s dead body can be seen on the street and the burning car.
It is suspected that the perpetrators of the murder were on the move at the time they shot, while the three victims were traveling in a “Volswagen Passat” type vehicle.
It is not yet known which of them was the target of the assassination.
According to the police, 30-year-old Vata was a passenger and was able to get out of the vehicle, but he died as soon as he got out of it.
The investigation team and numerous police forces are at the scene.
From the comb of the area, in Larushka, a “Volswagen Passat” type vehicle was found burning, which is suspected to belong to the perpetrators.
A machine gun was found inside the vehicle, which is suspected to have been used by the perpetrators to commit the crime.
Groups of FNSh Tirana went to help the local Police and checkpoints were set up by DVP Tirana and Lezhë.
The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Krujë Judicial District, is working to identify the two victims burned in the vehicle and to clarify the circumstances of the event, seizing any valuable evidence that will serve to clarify the event and identify the perpetrators.
The causes of the assassination are not yet known, while the first suspicions are drug deals.
