About a week ago, the Albanian Armando Beqiri was executed with a silenced pistol in Iceland. The murder was seen as a major challenge for the Icelandic authorities as the perpetrator left no trace while the victim had no criminal record.
Recently, the media in Reykjavik, regarding the mafia execution that shook the country, wrote that it is suspected that Armando Beqiri was killed by an Albanian woman.
So far, 10 people have been arrested, originally from Albania, Lithuania, Iceland, Estonia, Romania, Portugal and Spain. Some live in Iceland and others do not, two women are among those arrested.
The media in Iceland emphasize that based on the information from the investigators, the suspicions are that the weapon for the murder of the Albanian was fired by one of his compatriots.
However this is a version still unconfirmed on the facts and by the authorities. One of the Albanian citizens, after being interrogated by the authorities in Iceland, was released while the investigations for the other 9 persons continue.
The cell so far houses 9 people from 7 countries. Armando Beqiri was executed on Saturday evening (February 13) at the entrance of the house, being shot with at least 5 bullets.
The 33-year-old from Tepelena left behind his pregnant wife and a young son, who were at home when he was shot.
