Two days ago the Kharkiv metro returned to normal by continuing its services, but now the attacks are. Now the subway will be turned into a shelter for civilians.
The mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, said officials would designate special areas in the underground subway system where residents could stay until the shelling stopped.
“It’s noisy and dangerous today in Kharkiv. Enemy forces are bombing our city again. “People were injured and, unfortunately, they were killed.” said Terekhov in a video, while urging Ukrainians to stay in safe places.
According to the BBC, at least four people have recently been killed in bombings in the city of Kharkiv, which has been a quiet place in recent weeks.
