Two premises that were used for the cultivation of narcotics were discovered this Thursday in Durrës.
The police announces that in the framework of the criminal proceedings registered in the Durrës Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office, in February, by the Regional Directorate of AMP Durrës, based on information gathered during the investigation with proactive methods, in cooperation with DVP Durrës, under the direction of The Durrës Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office organized and finalized the police operation codenamed “Led”.
During this operation, in the village of Hardhishtë of the Gjepalaj Administrative Unit, Shijak, a search was carried out on some suspected apartments, pursuant to the decision of the Durrës Judicial District Court, for the control of some apartments.
As a result of the control of the apartments and the information obtained on the operational road, it became possible to find and seize in a villa and in a room (stable) as material evidence:
- 186 grams of cannabis sativa and 360 cannabis sativa seeds;
- two rifle type firearms and 140 combat bullets;
- two hoods, 15 bulbs, 15 reflector bulbs, 13 droslers, 10 reflectors and two vehicles.
At the end of the actions, the citizen EK, 32 years old, living in Shijak, who owned these premises, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
Also, from the Regional Directorate of the Police Supervision Agency Durrës, was prosecuted at large, for the criminal offense “Abuse of duty”, citizen AS, acting Special Assistant to the Area Police.
The materials are forwarded for further investigation to the Durrës Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office, for the criminal offenses “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosives and ammunition”, “Production and sale of narcotics” and “Cultivation of narcotic plants”.
