The situation in Ukraine is apparently worsening every day and in order to withstand Russian attacks, Ukraine has sought to increase US military aid.
Ukraine’s demands have recently increased, with the United States adding 1,000 missiles a day to its list of military aid. These missiles should be of two types, at the request of Ukraine, 500 should be Stinger anti-aircraft missiles and another 500 anti-tank Javelin.
Ukrainians have submitted similar lists in recent weeks, but a recent request offered to U.S. lawmakers appears to reflect a growing need for anti-aircraft missiles and anti-tank missiles.
So Ukraine is looking for hundreds of more missiles than were included in a list recently provided by US lawmakers.
The new list comes as Ukrainians have claimed they are facing possible arms shortages amid a continuing Russian offensive, prompting some backlash from US and NATO officials, who stress that more aid is already flowing. military instead.
By March 7, less than two weeks after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the United States and other NATO members had sent about 17,000 anti-tank missiles and 2,000 anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine.
Since then, NATO countries, including the US, have helped Ukraine, even though Russia has threatened to target deliveries.
