A joke by comedian Chris Rock about Jada Pinkett Smith’s head did not please her husband at all.
While presenting the award for best documentary, Rock jokingly said, “Jada I love you, ‘GI Jane 2’, can’t wait to see it.” The camera focused on Pinkett Smith, who rolled her eyes as she sat next to Smith.
“It was a beautiful thing,” tha Rock. Pinkett Smith has spoken openly about her fight with alopecia, an autoimmune disorder that leads to hair loss.
After laughing, the actor got up from the seat and went on stage to shoot the comedian. During the incident, Smith told him, “Keep my wife’s name away from your mouth.”
Rock replied, “Oh, wow,” and broke the silence in the hall, saying, “This is the biggest night in television history.”
