The US military appears to have suspended a three-star general who appeared to make satirical comments about the president’s wife, Jill Biden.
Retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky, a former US military spokesman, reacted to President Biden’s comments about the Supreme Court’s decision on abortion, where his wife claimed that “women’s rights have been stolen “.

Volesky had responded in his comment, “I’m glad you’re finally understanding what it means to be a woman.”
The network has since deleted Volesky’s comment.
But the military suspended Volesky, who had just begun a lucrative contract as an adviser to active-duty officers.

Volesky was previously the head of the US Army’s 101st Airborne Division.
Volesky, who retired from the Army in 2020, received the Silver Star for his service in Iraq.
