The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has ironized the Chair of LSI, Monika Kryemadhi, regarding her accusations about the reconstruction process.

“The company has been waiting for a long time for the earthquake issue and I want to look you in the eye and tell you the truth: We have done 22 trials. This is where Monika Kryemadhi – who has a house and rooms for cats, also has bathrooms for cats, but there is no room for a family affected by the earthquake – came and scolded the people, told them to take them to court, take blocking measures. But why is it blocking me from building people’s houses? What should we do? We had to win 22 trials and we won 22 to 0, because progress does not stop“, he said.
Veliaj expressed his conviction that the Municipality of Tirana will also win the trial to unblock the work for the removal of unauthorized constructions at the Sharra cemetery.
