The Municipality of Tirana, within the “European Youth Capital”, will open calls for all those young men and women who want to become part of the Municipal Police.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj held a meeting with the structures of the Municipal Police, where he stated that one of the next decisions of the Municipal Council will be the increase of 100 boys and girls in the total number of staff.
“We want to increase the team of the Municipal Police, of this family that does one of the most difficult jobs in this city, with 100 young boys and girls. We want to offer the same service, both in Ndroq and in Linza, in Kashar and in km 29 of Krraba, where we share with Elbasan. “Above all, for the increased influx of foreigners, delegations, friends of Albania and Tirana, who will come for the big case where we are the European Capital of Youth”, declared Veliaj.
The Mayor underlined that one of the tasks of the Municipal Police during this year will be the progress of over 1000 thousand activities that will be organized.
“It is not enough just to be polite, which is very important, it is not enough just to be determined and strict, but they also need to know English, to know how to orient a foreign tourist, to help someone who can life is foreign and he needs medical help “, said Veliaj.
He added that today, thanks to the transformation, the Municipal Police is one of the best structures in the Balkans and with a modernized fleet.
