The mayor also shared the news that the statue of the Albanian Saint, Mother Teresa, will soon be placed in the Green Park of the Artificial Lake, which, he said, will be a place of prayer for the entire community of Catholic believers.
“We discussed with the Monsignor that, in the hills of the Lake, we should place a statue of Mother Teresa, as a place of prayer and reflection. Many people are not fortunate enough to produce saints, we have it and sometimes we do not reflect enough on this great national treasure. The city of Tirana, as it took the decision to return the Church of St. Procopius to the Orthodox Church, will now very soon begin the erection of a statue to commemorate Mother Teresa, the Saint that Albania gave to the world. He called it a fantastic month for Tirana, where even for Muslims, who are in the Holy Month of Ramadan, the new Mosque will soon be completed:
