Vetting Judge / Ardian Hajdari investigation to be tried for concealment of income

Suspended from office for four months, Ardian Hajdari enjoyed the qualities of a constitutional judge and the accounts against him were opened after the denunciation of the three fired by Vetting Antoneta Sevdari, Ervin Metalla and Elsion Sadiku

Asked by SPAK during the investigation, it is learned that the judge of the special appellate panel which is the last degree of Vetting in Albania has stated that the bank accounts have the source of savings over the years while working as a judge in Shkodra and specifically from 1995 to 2000. .

But SPAK sees problematic income during the time when the Vetting member was engaged as a lawyer and where it turns out that for 15 years in this career he has issued only 11 invoices. But in the meantime for the years 2016, although he has represented many citizens in court, he has not respected the tax laws.

To confirm this, SPAK asked Hajdari’s clients who have confessed as witnesses about the protection he has provided and the payment they have made.

Ardian Hajdari according to SPAK sources tells the prosecution that the income during the time when he was a lawyer for the years 2000-2001 he did not set fees as a lawyer, but whenever the citizens won the processes they gave him gifts of monetary value, how to evaluate them.

“Often times, because these people I represented were from the village, they brought me food as a gift.”declares the Vetting judge in SPAK.

The prosecutor in the case, Enkelejda Millonai, lists in court the actions she performed, recalling the testimony of a citizen who admits that he did not give him money for a lawyer for his work, but rewarded him by renting it.

In conclusion, SPAK says that Hajdari did not forget to declare income for 2016 and 2017 but that he did it intentionally to avoid liabilities.

Earlier, another member of the Vetting, Luan Daci, was found guilty by a special court and thus removed from office.
