Political parties clashed in Vora as the Democratic Party does not have election commissioners in all polling stations.
This happened because the DP commissioners did not have a place of residence in this municipality and this is a condition provided in the electoral code.
Currently, in 22 polling stations in the municipality of Vora, the Democratic Party has not nominated commissioners, while in the other 22 polling stations it has only the secretary.
This situation came after the intervention of the state commissioner who asked the CEAZ to fill the quorum. The quorum was filled by the commissioners of the SP and the “House of Freedom”.
But the Democratic Party said that in this way its representation in the election commissions is being violated. Democratic Party Deputy Chairman Jorida Tabaku reacted to this issue.
“In CEAZ 26, an unprecedented decision, the 3 members of the Socialist Party joined the vote with the member of the Socialist Movement for Integration and decided not to implement the decision of the Election Commissioner, the appointment of DP commissioners and the decision of the Appellate Panel. All DP representatives are on the commission as observers, but are not performing their role as chairpersons. I call on political entities to implement the decision of the Election Commissioner.
Meanwhile, the Socialist Party, representatives of the “House of Freedom” and the state commissioner, said that in Vora the process was not blocked and the electoral code was implemented.
“I wanted to inform that the DP at this moment has the right to take it to the commissioner and the CEAZ has the obligation to approve it. But not finding the commissioners is neither the fault of the CEAZ nor the CEC and the process. This is their problem that we will see what happened.
