Prime Minister Edi Rama held a press conference on the situation in Ukraine, while he also spoke about the increase in energy prices. In his speech, Rama mentioned the statement of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and business representatives who came out today with 9 requests to the government, after the increase in the cost of production, as a result of the increase in electricity.
They left the government 2 weeks to see their demands for energy price review and if the government does not react, there will be protests.
Rama: There is a wave of inflation accompanied by rising prices as a result of the strong economic recovery after the closure and tightening by the pandemic. We are the only country or with some exception that it is not that we have seen all the countries without exception that we have not touched the price of energy. In all the communications I had with colleagues on the eve of the summit and in the meetings in Munich, the fundamental issue has been energy. We are committed to doing our best to keep the price of energy under control and the psychological shock it brings to the whole, especially for family members and small business.
I’m very sorry that a representative group of business has come up with claims as if they have just landed from the moon and have no information about events on Earth. I hope it was a moment of delusion to go out today and look for such chicks while a hot spit has started to roll in the shadows of Europe, only here can vaki do.
